I'd follow you in instagram with big pleasure even without the freebie, but I don't have instagram account, I've tried to create one and instagrams says my email is used, I've tried everything and nothing works.

Have you tried resetting the password? Someone could have (accidentally or on purpose) signed up with your email, but if you request a password reset sent to your email and then change the password, you should be able to use your email address for instagram. Hope that helps.
