Lynn Grieveson Designs is our daily crush! ​

This event isn't a traditional CHALLENGE in that there aren't any real rules, all you have to do is scrap with the featured designer! It’s a fun event to just scrap with products from a fave designer or try a new (to you) designer. It’s all about having fun and celebrating the uniqueness of all of our Lilypad Designers!

So we can get to know you a bit better, tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into scrapbook designing?
I started scrapbooking when my youngest, who is now 18, was a baby and we had just moved to Singapore from London. I spent up on paper supplies but could never quite get pages looking like I wanted. So when we moved to New Zealand when she was a toddler, and I was stuck in a serviced apartment with no craft supplies, I taught myself to digiscrap while she napped.

What inspires you in your creative process? Has it changed over time?
I joined a couple of creative teams as a scrapper but fairly quickly started designing myself and I still love it.

At first I would design the kits I needed myself to scrap our family photos, so I guess you could say I was inspired by the photos I was scrapping! I still very much design the products I love to scrap with myself, but I get a lot of inspiration from classic design like old posters and fabric designs.

What's your design space like?
I design in my apartment in downtown Wellington (the capital of New Zealand). We moved just over a year ago. In our old house my desk was in our wardrobe, literally among the clothes, as I had to surrender my office when my eldest moved back home. I used to joke I was the Harry Potter of The Lilypad! Now my desk is right by the kitchen worktop but I actually like not being shut away. And it forces me to keep it tidy ... ish.



What are your favorite products you’ve created and why?
It's hard to choose my favourite products. I love creating - and using photobook templates - and some of my favs are the "See This" sets and "Messy Pockets Boxed".

My current fav kits are "I Get Back Up", "Wind in my Sails" and "Botanical Mix No2".

I love paint too - but don't make me choose!

I know you scrap too, would you be willing to share some of your favorite pages?
It's even harder to choose favourite pages! Here's a few that make me happy when I look at them again. I tried to look right back into my gallery to rediscover some older ones!
