Love Our Designers | February 14th Lynne-Marie is our daily crush! FACEBOOK | PINTEREST TLP username Lynne-Marie | personal gallery Today we are going to play with Lynne-Marie’s designs. If you’re not familiar with Lynne-Marie Digital Designs, check out the store here. She's been on a bit of a hiatus this last year, but Lynne-Marie has a gorgeous store and was also part of the design team for the Mixed Media Monthly products. You can see from her designer gallery, people of all scrap styles enjoy using Lynne-Marie's designs! Here are a few examples and also some pages BY Lynne-Marie showing you a bit more of her style and talent! She's made products in the more traditional paper/element style like her Oh Snap! bundle: By Lynne-Marie: and one by me using Oh Snap She also designs products like this more artsy one, Resolute: layouts by Lynne-Marie: Here's one Lisa (ArmyGrl) made for today using Resolute M3 Jan 2017 bundle, and also some extra paint and brushes from Kismet, Tea Brushes, and Local. I interviewed Lynne-Marie to uncover a little more about the wonderfully creative lady behind the designs. Where do you call home? We moved to Riverview, New Brunswick (Canada) in 2019 from Quebec. The motive was to care for my aging parents, and be here for them through their last stretch of life. I am appreciating every moment. Also, I have transitioned back into teaching full-time, which explains my lack of productivity design-wise. I miss it though. Our oldest son moved out last summer, leaving an empty room for me to claim. Just last week I finished setting up my art studio and hooked up my computer. It was out of commission for over a year! I downloaded some of the February BYOC and plan to do a few pages just for fun.... Who knows, it might just kick my creative juices into action! Who makes up your family? I have been married for 23 years to Andre, and together we have raised three boys, ages 19, 15, and 13. We have two cats, a mother and her baby, who is bigger than her now! Which came first, scrapbooking or designing? I started paper scrapbooking when my oldest was 4. I became part of a creative team for a scrapbooking magazine and a store in Quebec. I LOVED scrapbook products and had a HUGE collection which took up a lot of room. After my third child was born, I decided to take an online training course in graphic design. My goal at the time was just to explore scrapping with digital products. I became obsessed! I figured out how to make my own products and I started an online shop called Zig-Zag Scrap. Around the same time, another store that I really loved (CatScrap) had a designer call, so I applied, and was accepted! When both these stores joined the litany of closing digital shops, I found my designs homeless. Luckily, they landed right here at The Lilypad, which has become my forever home since 2013. I was part of the M3 team from 2014 to 2019, when I took a designer hiatus. Do you think you have a signature style? I would describe my style as graphic earthy-art. My love for nature and gardening influences my color choices and textures, but I am also drawn to clean-line graphic designs. I love mixing the two together! I tend to stay away from extracted 3D elements and prefer using paint or scribbles to add interest to my kits. My scrapping style is uncluttered and includes a lot of white space, but also lots of texture. What is your favorite product/kit/item you've designed? Kismet is a kit I designed for March BYOC in 2018. It contains some beautiful graphic prints, along with natural textures and paint. I really enjoyed scrapping with it! What occupies your other time? I love the outdoors... hiking, kayaking, snow-shoeing, biking, and I recently took up body building. At almost 50, I am trying to hang-on to the youth I have left, and have gained an appreciation for life. I want to live it to the fullest! My husband and I are also involved in music. We have our own home recording studio, and have participated in several French Christian worship albums. What are 3 things on your bucket list? Hike the Swiss Alps, visit Scotland, and winter camping Name one thing you look for in a partner. Kindness Tell me 4 adjectives that those closest to you would use to describe you. Energetic, devoted, creative and fun Finish the following... I'm most creative when... I am relaxed. If I were a color, I'd be... robin's egg blue I often imagine myself... in nature My secret talent is... acting My favorite thing to do at home is... gardening I'd love to spend a lazy Saturday... hiking I'm most comfortable wearing... leggings and a sweatshirt Thank you Lynne-Marie, it was extra special learning more about you today! AND she has something pretty exciting for all of US! Lynne-Marie has a big sale today!!! Her WHOLE store is 30% off, plus buy more get more savings! I scrapped today with Lynne-Marie's He kit. It was full of the teen boy vibe that this story needed about my son and his friend/our neighbor and their outfit of the day (OOTD) when they unexpectedly twinned down to the neon shoes. I LOVE LYNNE-MARIE! My scrap style ebbs and flows which make her versatile kits perfect for a scrapper like me. Off to scour her store and check some things off of my wish list. Hoping I'll get to scrap with some new goodies soon!
The kit I used is a fun Christmas one I have used before so it was good to make use of it again for this recent Christmas.
Thank-you everyone! I am definitely feeling the love! It’s making this Valentine’s Day extra special! I am itching to design again, but still have a lot going on, so I must refrain for a little longer, though I wouldn’t dismiss the possibility of an occasional new release when I have a bit of a break! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
One more from me using one of my all time favorite bundles: Vogue. Much love for how Lynne-Marie's style is both arty and graphic. I could make 10 more pages with this bundle!
