Well, we made it to February! If you're like me, you may have an MOC hangover. Whether you need a minute, or you are eager to keep the momentum going, I hope you will enjoy getting back into the monthly challenges. But... back to MOC . My favorite thing about the Month of Challenges is the gallery. Every day it fills up with beautiful, jaw-dropping pages. If you didn't have a chance to look while you were making pages I'll give you the chance now. This month's scraplift challenge is to lift a page from the MOC 9 gallery. I gotta warn you, it's going to be tough to pick just one! Again, the challenge: Choose a page from the MOC 9 gallery found HERE to lift. Please post the page you chose and your new layout in this thread. I settled on this beauty by navaja77. The interesting layers and the pops of color really stood out to me. Here's my page Go enjoy some eye candy in the MOC 9 gallery! Can't wait to see your lifts. Gentle Reminder: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the February Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
@ashleywb - So when exactly was the MOC 9 gallery created? Someone asked that question at the beginning and we were told to just put our layouts in the gallery -- which I did -- all 31. Now I wonder if they will actually be counted toward MOC. So confusing this year!
i didnt know there was an moc 9 gallery. i had been posting in just the lilypad challenges. do i need to move all my pages?
I'm choosing this gorgeous page: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/moc2021-day-30-3d-sculpture-world-another-rainy-day.462477/ I love, love, love, this page so much. I found a video online to try and learn how to make the layer style. https://www.google.com/search?q=cut...e&ie=UTF-8#kpvalbx=_fScYYL-ZBvCGwbkPsYOsuA011 I swear, I watched a dozen times, I can get the first layer done. I managed to figure out how to make the second layer but after that, oh gee. My brain gave up or something. My page only resembles hers in the fact that it's got about the same cut out. I extracted the butterfly and the roses to put in. They are layered in between the layers like her gorgeous page. Sigh.
OMGoodness...this is going to be hard to pick. There are so many that I love. Can't wait to see what everyone else picks!
My eye was immediately drawn to this layout and how the photos are clustered together and my layout 12.16 Isabel - Christmas Cheer by rdjrneace posted Feb 1, 2021 at 6:06 PM
So many were awesome. The extreme shadows was my favourite challenge and the results...I could have loved all the work in the gallery. I went this way the paper challenge Jan 28 but instead of a photo I blended a journal card scrap lifting this lovely one from Saar. Here is my take -
I scraplifted this beautiful layout by @ajm: Here's my take, I loved subtle title work and the wreath design, it instantly made me think of Christmas so that's what direction I went in for my page:
Sorry for the confusion! Don't worry, your MOC layouts will be tracked based on your personal thread in the events forum, not based on the gallery where they are posted. I'm not sure when the MOC 9 gallery was created, it may have been a day or two into MOC.
No need to move your pages, unless you just want to. Your participation is tracked in your thread in the events forum.
Oh wow, I feel so honored you chose one of my layouts. I love how yours turned out. I'm off to your galery to leave you some love.
I am really honored that you chose my page. Would love to see your version and I will keep an eye out.
