Welcome to the December Inspiration Challenge. Can you believe we made it to the end of 2020?! As this year winds down, I feel there's been so much I want to say at times and at other times I just feel downright speechless. For those of you that sometimes find yourself speechless when making layouts, this challenge is for you! (Don't worry journalers and storytellers - you can still journal your heart out if you want to!) Take a look at this Inspiration Layout by Timi Biro titled, Unconditional Love, found on Pinterest. Although this page has a bit of journaling - what stands out most is the clustering of Words of Affection stamped all around the photo. Your challenge is to create a cluster with at least 8 different words or sentiments you can use 8 different stamps from your kits you can create your own words with 8 different fonts or feel free to mix and match stamps with your own words made with fonts Everything else on the page is up to you. You can add photos or no photos, journal or let the words & sentiments speak for you. Just make sure your Sentiment Cluster is prominent on the page. Here are a few other pages with this idea for additional inspiration: by lescrapananat found on Pinterest by Elena at Studio Calico Here is my page with a stamped cluster of sentiments made by our talented Lilypad Designers (full credits in gallery). Most kits have some stamped words in them but did you know there's a store category under Elements just for Stamps of all kinds (seasonal, travel, affirmations, the list goes on and on ... ) that you can find here: Stamps. Have fun and I can’t wait to see your Sentiment Clusters! As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the December Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
@jenn mccabe - Do the 8 stamps have to be from DIFFERENT kits or can there be several from one kit? Are words on word strips okay?
you can use one kit if you want. for the fonts - they should be varied - i just didn't want people typing 8 words in the same font bc that would not be in the spirit of the challenge. it would just look like journaling or typing. i didn't intend for it to be word strips - but if it makes you happy to do a cluster of word strips instead of stamps - go for it!
Being a "wordy" lady myself, this was a fun challenge. I used 8 stamps + some word strips and a flair with words on it.
