We are going to do something a little different. We are splitting the month with 4 Pollys... we all have our own wacky ideas for the Muse. I really struggle with recipe challenges, I see the word RECIPE in a challenge title and I dread even opening the challenge. I am not sure why, but that is how I roll... So to force myself to do a recipe challenge ONCE for my life! Here it goes. Did you notice that I underlined and made green some of my text from my paragraph... well, those are our recipe ingredients. RECIPE struggle - maybe something you are struggling with right now in life, or a color or a technique you struggle to use. title - Make your title a STATEMENT in your page opening - I am leaving this open to interpretation. LOL!!! roll - use something that rolls or buns (rolls) life - life = ? Here.... RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW... this page has to do with YOUR present! Here is mine: struggle - I am struggling right now with all the noise about elections and how to stay away! title - I repeated my one word title 3 times to make it stand out! opening - I am so happy of this one. I did cut outs for my page! roll - I used buttons and paint in the shape of circles. life - right now so much noise and negativity, I used dark colors and a lot of markings. Here.... RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW... Eyes closed trying to quiet down the world around me. You may create any style of layout (ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.) you wish, with or without a photo. Create any size page you wish. This is for everyone, so have fun and see where the inspiration takes you. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to DEC 1st, 2020 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines).
UGH - J/K - Okay, I'll try your recipe, since you forced yourself to do one. I'm not very good with them either, and I must tell you I haven't even look at it yet. BWAHAHA Love 'ya, Dalis.
@Cherylndesigns I DISLIKE them SO SO MUCH! I am actually starting my page, I have 15 mins before I start work. LOL!!!!
@Cherylndesigns I finished my page but can't upload until this afternoon when the BYOC releases! I will give you an idea of what I used as my items though as a little help. struggle - I am struggling right now with all the noise about elections and how to stay away! title - I repeated my one word title 3 times to make it stand out! opening - I am so happy of this one. I did cut outs for my page! roll - I used buttons and paint in the shape of circles. life - right now so much noise and negativity, I used dark colors and a lot of markings. Here.... RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW... Eyes closed trying to quiet down the world around me.
Thank you SO much, Dalis! I just had no clue and thought I'd inject my usual humor into my cluelessness. LOL
No worries, I really truly struggle with RECIPE challenges, and to make it fair I wrote that paragraph and then just underlined random words!
I love this style of recipe challenge If I ever crawl out of this crazy hampster wheel that is my life at the moment i'll be back to make a page
I love recipes had fun figuring this one out struggle - I'm struggling with focusing and the background messy paper represents that lack of focus title - a big THESE DAYS opening - I used paper that had an opening and put both an outdoor sketch and a girl in a mask to represent the wearing of masks when I go out roll - the days seem to roll by quickly and I used arrows in circles to represent the rolling life - life right now is dangerous because of Covid 19 Here.... my journaling and 1-5 all represent my here and now
I am amazed at the creativity here for sure.....this is such a foreign thing to me....art journaling, sure I do like a bit of paint on my pages but this is next level.
you don't have to add paint - you can do this in your own style, create a standard scrapbooking page if you want to, or just use it as an opportunity to experiment. The important thing is to be inspired, have fun and create.
