Hi Everyone, November is here and so is Autumn/Fall for those of you in the northern hemisphere. This month I’m hosting the STYLE CHALLENGE. I was looking at lots of Autumn/Fall pages and I noticed one thing that tied them together and that was not just the palettes typical of Autumn spreads, but also the use of many autumnal inspired pattern and motifs being combined in the page designs. Sooooo, lets give pattern mixing a go and create an Autumn/ Fall project that showcases not 1 not 2 but a minimum of 3 AUTUMN inspired pattern papers. You can get busy clustering and stacking patterned papers, you could even clip some to textures to create grungy autumn inspired backgrounds. Which ever way you choose to showcase your patterns is entirely up to you, so long as there are a minimum of 3 distinctly unique autumn patterns in your final design. CHALLENGE CRITERIA: Embrace pattern and create an Autumn/ Fall inspired page with a minimum of 3 Autumn/Fall patterns. As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the NOVEMBER Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I look forward to your Autumn creations. Em x
@Justagirl beautiful, beautiful, and really wonderful journaling. Your strength is so inspiring, I love hearing about you embracing the new you and recognizing that it will be different. My Mother had similar feelings after her Cancer survival and I think its hard to say it all out loud and to find people that understand how you feel. Much love and hugs x
Aww thank you lovely, hugs to your mum. It took a bit of contemplation as to whether I should share these feelings and then I thought, you know what its all a part of the process. No matter how hard and confronting it might be, own it and I feel heaps better just putting it out there into the universe
I am uncomfortable using the patterned papers, so here I let them do the talking, not a lot of elements outside the paper clipped elements
