I am so excited to be here for Day 28 to bring you a brand new challenge this year, inspired and designated by the ever creative Justine @bellbird Without further ado, here is the Darkle Challenge!! Here at the Lilypad, we have redefined this word to mean a dark background with sparkling, glittery, shiny elements. Dark + Sparkle = Darkle...get it?? You must use a dark background paper – it can be patterned, but it must be dark. 2. 75% of your elements must be either metallic, shiny or sparkly/glittery. Anything other than your picture or journaling will be counted as an element. 3. 75% of your elements must be clustered around your picture(s)...no pocket pages will be allowed!! Here is the layout I made for this challenge And check out some of these awesome samples from our amazing Pollys!! The pages may not be available to see until they have been moved to a public gallery...patience please From Anne From Sheri From Annemieke Aren’t they just totally sophisticated and glamorous?? This post saved for clarification and questions!! Is it kosher to use styles to add the metallic glitz, or does the original element need to be metallic? You can definitely use styles to add the metal or glitter!!! I know that we have a few designers that make some amazing ones!!
I used my ACDSee tagging system to find all the glitter and metallic items that would go together. The credits are REALLY long!
That was going to be my question - is it kosher to use styles to add the metallic glitz, or does the original element need to be metallic?
Ohhh, I love sparkles! And they are even better when they are on a dark background - I'll be back with my LO.
i believe that for this challenge the way that you make your elements 'sparkle' is up to you,you can use them straight up if you have suitable ones but you should also feel free to add styles to bring the sparkle!
For a person who is not very glittery even though I own all sorts of glitter styles... I had a lot of fun creating this page. So, thankyou @bcnatty Natasha and @bellbird Justine
