Hello scrappers! Are you ready for some scrapping fun? Today’s challenge is a Scrappable Stackable. When these new-style templates were introduced this year, I was truly amazed at the depth of the detail and stunning composition of these products. They make scrapping a breeze, and in turn, guarantee gorgeous layouts for your memories. Consequently, I was turning cartwheels when I got to host today’s challenge featuring SCRAPPABLE STACKABLES. They are an exciting collaboration between Lynn Grieveson Designs and The Nifty Pixel (Pollywog Em, justagirl). Scrappable Stackables give you a wealth of options for creating pages with masterful layering and shadowing. Each set of Scrappable Stackables includes a page template PLUS a frame cluster, title cluster, and an embellishment cluster ready for you to personalize and make your own. Today’s challenge template will give you a taste of a full pack. The Scrappable Stackable template we are using for our challenge is filled with all kinds of layers for you to embellish to your heart’s content. You can flip it, rotate it, and add/subtract photos and elements to make it yours; just make certain we can still recognize it as originating from the original template. If you are new to digital scrapbooking or just need a refresher, here is a great tutorial from Cheryl (gonewiththewind) to get you started. VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING TEMPLATES Download your MOC Eight Scrappable Stackable template HERE. ***The zip file has been updated with an alternate that has shorter file names for those who were experiencing problems unzipping*** This space reserved for clarifications if needed Q: Can I change the drop shadowing on it? A: Yes Q: is it ok if we simplify the layout quite a bit? A: Yes, you may remove layers. Have fun with it; just make sure we can recognize some of the template in the end!!!
There needs to be a LOVE option, along with the Like for a post!! I love this, thanks! Can't wait to play with it!
Wow! This is one heck of a template! can I change the drop shadowing on it? I’m not big on huge shadows.
I had trouble with the download. I kept getting error messages about paths being too long on certain png layers. Could you tell me how many separate layers I should have in this download/template? The png folder is empty. The PSD file has 68 layers.
Sometimes when that happens to me, dowloading the file directly to my computer's desktop works since it cuts out several levels of the file path name. Then once I've unzipped (and possibly shortened the names) I can move it where I want.
I will have Em @Justagirl and Lynn @LynnG take a look. They will figure it out and get back to you. I’m sorry for the problem. @mrs2a50 @bestcee @lmccandless
gee this template intimidates me big time. @Iowan is it ok if we simplify the layout quite a bit? I’d be tempted to remove quite a few layers to start with as this template has way more layers than I’d normally use
Yes, you may remove layers. Have fun with it; just make sure we can recognize some of the template in the end!!!
are you using a upzip program like "extract now"? I sometimes have this same issue and I find upzipping using the windows option works better...hope this makes sense...
