so read- and re- read the instructions last night.. and just kinda stared. Did you use a sewing machine? you said it took you a long time- so maybe you did it by hand i don't know ^_^ . I'm afraid of my sewing machine- for more than like, sewing a straight line
i used a sewing machine. what took a long time, lauren, was pinning it. i think from finish to end it took about 1.5 hours. sewing time on the machine was maybe 20-30 minutes. cutting and pinning was at least an hour. nice thing is, it doesn't have to be perfect. i loooooooove projects like that. lindsey (my oldest) and i are going back to buy more tee's. i only cut up half the shirt so you can easy make more shirts from one tee. i think we will be making these for all of her friends.
lol if i manage to try it it will be far far from perfect haha.. I really love ruffles. like a lot. So i'm going to have to suck it up and give it a wack sooner or later.
yeah. i'm going through a major ruffle stage. lindsey and i have doodled out about 10 different designs. at least they are cheap, so when i'm over ruffles i won't have spent a buttload of $$. ROFL
I am going to have to ask DD's if they like this idea. Would be a really fun M/D activity although, I am probably too "chunky" and it won't look as good on me as it does on you Jacque!
