CHALLENGE CLOSED On behalf of Nicole of NBK Designs, I would like to thank all those who entered this challenge and posted some amazing layouts. The randomly chosen winner of the $5 coupon is CherylinDesigns, I will send a PM with your coupon code soon. Thank you all again for playing, I hope you had some fun Hi Creative scrappers, I hope you can join in and try this technical challenge for this month and come up with some interesting results. I have added some step by step directions which should work fine with Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and hopefully Creative Artist. My first sample is replacing a building wall with a downtown image, using the polygonal Lasso tool, like you see on city building in some countries. My second example is replacing part of a floppy hat using the quick selection tool with some flowers. Feel free to use whatever method or image of your choice. The main thing is to have some fun with this challenge Replace a shape with another image Use free legal images from Unsplash, Pixabay or Pexels for buildings and graffiti walls. 1. Use the polygonal Lasso Tool to select the area to be replaced 2. Go to Select>Inverse 3. Click on the Mask Icon to add a mask 4. Select an image to replace the blank wall and place it beneath the masked layer Alternative Method Use the Quick selection tool to select the area to be replaced Go to Select>Inverse Click on the Mask Icon to add a mask Select an image to replace the selected area and place it beneath the masked layer Here’s another example using quick selection Here I replaced Mrs Santa with a different face. I wonder who that lady is?. I used NBK's New Holly Holly released Nov 12th at the Lilypad RULES This challenge runs from NOV 11th to NOV 24th. One lucky scrapper will be randomly chosen to win a $5 coupon to the NBK Design store. You must use 100% of NBK Design Products. You may use a template from a designer at The Lily Pad. Post your layout here and in the NBK Design Gallery and link your layout.
Another wonderful excuse to make an autumn-colors layout. Thank you for the challenge and chance to win. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/11-11-19_replaceshapewimage_barn.410501/
Your examples are so clear BUT the lasso tool and I are not friends. I had a heck of a time with it! Anyway, the picture here was shooting up to the amazing ceiling of a restored theatre and the new fill was an outdoor sculpture which I liked.
Here is mine. Both pics are from some time spent in Chicago in April. I removed part of the road to let the beach & Lake Michigan peek through.
