Do you get those projects that just make you feel like starting over!? Me Too, and this is one of them! So for this week I decided to let my 'Art' Journaling heart take over and cover that sentence up! Goodbye! Paint over your sentence with paints and drawings so it is totally hidden and create whatever makes you happy! Bonus Challenge - Include a new sentence on your card somewhere! Hey if you end up keeping your original sentence that is totally fine too!
Love Your New & Improved Layout!...I Actually Love My Sentence That I Started Out With & What I Turned It Into...So If I Use The New Sentence I Created In Week #3...Does That Count As A Bonus Requirement?...
Glad you added the part about it being okay to keep my original sentence! I hated the thought of painting out God's Word! :O I added the follow-up verse, "Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness. ~ Matt. 6:33 (my "life verse") https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/07-19_wk3_indexcard_quote-final.400395/
I used the sentence, "I don't always see you, but I know you are there." It is tongue in cheek for the hidden card. The title picks it up, too.
Well, I rather liked my book excerpt. So I went with it, but then added a few bits of "stuff" to dress it all up. I kept with my road theme, found a road background by Little Butterfly Wings, found a paper by Paula that I loved, found a brick paper by Kim Jensen & then overlaid & colored & played & ultimately ended up with "Follow the yellow brick road". I added a road sign, some caution tape, bits of ephemera & word art. Called it done...
This was fun! A different take on a challenge is usually a good diversion! Keeps the mental muscle in shape! I too liked my quote and chose to keep it. But added a quote with a good challenge to those with a hangdog attitude.
@Smwhite Your layout is awesome, I love your added quote!! Happy you enjoyed this MM, especially when it was my first!
