Hello and welcome to the July Photography Challenge! This is my absolute favorite time of year. The crazy of the end of the school year is over, summer is in full swing and I can enjoy the outdoors and warm weather. I love and live for summer! I could be doing literally nothing ... just being outside in the warm air, with the birds chirping and nature in full bloom all around me - and I am as happy as can be. I soak up every moment of summer bliss. So for this challenge I want you to share a photo that depicts your season right now and how you feel about it. Is it a love or hate relationship ... or somewhere in between? You need at least one photo on your page (you are welcome to use more). It can be a current photo or an older photo. Here's my page about how I look forward to the weekend after being stuck in an office all week. I'm outside on a warm beautiful Friday evening after work, enjoying the sunset and the promise of the weekend ahead. Looking forward to seeing your pages about your current season! Reminder: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the June Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
Today it was sunny and warm until a storm blew in and ruined our Canada Day Celebrations. I'll just pretend that doesn't happen much. lol
Yikes that's a scorcher! Stay cool and safe. Scrapping is always a good thing on days like these right?
we were supposed to be feeling a little bit colder, as we are in winter right now, but the weather is crazy and we have summer temperatures for 3 weeks and counting...I can't stand it anymore! at least I have an amazing view from the beach!!
Loved this challenge because I love summer so much, and we are still at the beginning of our warm, sunny season. Journaling: Summer means road trips to me, so I have learned to love this season. this is the view from the deck of our most recent Best Western stay, in Bonner's ferry, Idaho. I used to get too hot in the summer, and burn, but recently my body chemistry has changed! I love warmer weather, and for the first time in my life I'm tanning, not burning! Even the mosquitoes have stopped biting me. July 2, 2019 https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/07-19_season-summer.398960/
I took the how I feel about the season more metaphorically - encouraging my daughter who has just finished her half year exams that she is good and has got this. Please let me know if I need to change it.
