Hello and happy July everyone! I am back this month to happily host the random challenge. The first thing that popped into my head as an idea for something random is a trend I've seen here in the gallery and on Pinterest lately with a "filled title". I've been drawn to layouts with a big bold title made up of large letters with the centers cut out and then the insides filled with either papers, photos or random little elements. I've wanted to try a page using this technique for awhile, so I used this as an excuse to play around a bit! Here is the page I came up with: So, your challenge is to create a layout with a FILLED TITLE. You must have at least: *** 1 letter filled with a paper *** 1 letter filled with a photo or image *** 1 letter filled with some fun little elements. The rest of the letters are up to you to decorate. I can't wait to see everyone's layouts for this challenge! Here are some great product ideas to get you started, but you do not have to use these to play along. You could create your your letter with a bold blocky font and cut out the centers yourself. or create your own title like I did with these: As always, please remember the regular monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the July Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day, the first Friday of the month. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
I'm such a fan of filled letters and am really happy about the challenge! Your page is excellent! my page
Aw thanks! I'm glad you like it! Like I said, I've seen a bunch of these layouts and really wanted to give it a try!
I had SO much fun with this challenge, Karen. I won't be here for the 4th of July, so I wanted to do at least one layout.
This was such a fun challenge and I spent way too much time figuring out what alpha to use. I ended up using a font Peabody and outlined with stroke and outer glows
