Welcome to the Monthly Muse for March 2019!! Week 1 - Book Covers Our Muse for the month of March will be all about books: their covers, their spines, their words, etc. When I was thinking about this today I got on Pinterest and simply typed in "Book Covers" in the search bar and so many images popped up that I thought would be absolutely perfect for Art Journaling inspiration and scraplifting ideas. Here are a few that I saved, but if none of these spark something in you, then go find a book cover and create your page and show us what inspired you. For me, I was really inspired by the flower and petals page above, so I'm using that to create my page, and I'll be back to share it soon! [page coming soon!] Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to March 31st and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). If you have any questions, ask here! Have fun!!!
Love this theme. No computer for another week or so, so I will have plenty of time to think about it. Just back from where I left my heart (Arizona), so the inspirational book covers with the splits inspired me. I am totally split. A little un-written symbolism since the Grand Canyon is between "here" and "there."
what a great idea. My crafts bookcase is next to my desk, so I grabbed one at random, and pulled this one out. Love to Sew: Quilted flowers by Nikki Tinkler It's difficult to see in the small image, but the text boxes are semi-transparent with a dashed edge. Here's my art journaling page
Well, I had no inspiration at all... Until I looked right next to me and saw the book I had just purchased that was recommended to me. I've not even looked at it, other than saw the amazing cover & decided to use that as my inspiration. Here is my rendition.
I was inspired by the torn look on the book covers. I'll have to make sure to remember this look in the future - so many possibilities
I really liked using a book cover as inspiration for my ATC. Thanks for this challenge! I was inspired by this book cover designed by Oliver Munday: Here is my interpretation:

@EHStudios Hello Elisa...will there be another prompt for this week? Or is March just a monthly challenge? I'm new to art journaling so I'm not sure how often prompts go out. Loving it though!!
Finally. Didn't think I'd ever get this one done - mostly because I kept trying to add more, make it more artsy or something. It just seems like such a blatant copy of the cover ... but it's also pretty much spot on to my initial inspiration.
