Looks interesting, but do you eat it with a spoon or do you just drink it "straight"? I'm not cool enough to have had this, but I have DH Googling it to see if we can get the ingredients here in town!

Interesting! The flavors look nice...but noodles? It seems like the texture might be weird.

    Mmmmm...no thanks.

    I don't do tapioca...or horchata...it's just a texture thing for me.

Interesting indeed. I recognize the ingredients even though the names are different.

I imagine the mix of textures will get a no from me, tactile defensive that I am.

Using this saying henceforth. But why you "defensive"? Bwahahaha. I have huge texture issues when it comes to food. I ain't eating anything gelatinous

I laughed until I cried reading this along with the gif

the title of this thread in the side bar got me to pop in here - i would never of guessed what this was from the name (i imagined some kind of epic flood and thought your house was drowning!) but hmm, i'm not adventurous enough to try it i don't think - not a fan of tapioca for starters but i'm glad you enjoyed it and didn't drown!

hummmm I don't think I'd try it, I'm a little picky eater!! but for us here in Brazil, tapioca is a different thing, I never heard of using it to drinks or juices...

mine had some seeds but I don't think it was Tapioca. Tapioca is bigger than these itty bitty things I got in mine.

I think that is the most challenging texture in the entire thing, but you get used to it. LOL!!!

Those were the ones throwing me off, I most likely left most of them, but the ones that went through the straw were eaten with apprehension but they were good.

NOT AT ALL, it felt like a shake to me, the bits of jello coming up the straw was a bit different. I wish it had a crunchy element though.

Tapioca is used A LOT in drinks here specially smoothies or shakes, mostly in Asian restaurants.

To all of you talking about the texture, I get it. I don't eat a few things because of the texture and this was a REALLY OUT THERE PICK. I brought it home thinking OMG, what have I done? Bianca tried it (she is very textural too) and she did NOT fed well. I thought she was going to puke but she held it down. This of course terrified me because I gave her to try before I did. I think the noodles were the odd part out in the drink, the texture was weird, because the noodles were cooked but they were not slimey or super soft, they were almost al dente but not super hard. I wish this would have had pistachio pieces or something crunchy.
