Hello fellow Lilypad Dwellers!!! I can't believe that we only have just over a week left in this wonderful month of MOC
You all have been amazing with your beautiful and creative layouts you have graced the gallery with!! Keep it up...you can do it!!!
I am here today to host a PLAYING WITH PAPER STRIPS CHALLENGE!!! The purpose of this challenge is to use paper as an elements rather than a background. You should take solid or patterned papers and digitally cut them into strips as a way to embellish your page. By layering and overlapping your papers strips, you give depth and dimension to your page, just like paper scrapping.
Your Challenge Requirements:
1. You must have at least 7 (for MOC7) paper strips filling at least 50% of your layout.
2. You may use papers, vellum or pre-made paper strips for this challenge. You may NOT use tags, word art or journal cards as your paper strips.
3. You cannot journal on your paper strips
Now, before all you minimalist, clean scrappers freak out, I want to show you some beautiful layouts that inspired this challenge.
Aren't they beautiful and amazing?!? Many of the strips overlap each other, making the strips seem to lift off the page. I can't wait to see your creative juices flowing for this challenge!! I am not normally a filled page type of girl, but sometimes you gotta break out of your comfort zone and try out some new styles. The possibilities for this challenge are endless!!
Remember: We're using paper strips as an elemental focal point; not as journaling strips or tags.
Here is my layout I created for this challenge!!

And check out this amazing page by Polly AnneofAlamo!!
