So, even though I don't post much here, I read all the posts. And I'm finally seeing that I'm getting better! I took this one this last week - and I'm happy with it! I know I can play with it in editing, but I'm thrilled at the straight out of the camera version. So, thanks for all the posts and info!

Oh wow! That is absolutely gorgeous Courtney!

Persnickety has a basic mobile phone freebie "class" going on right now - Jan started the thread. Did you sign up for that? I'm guessing you used DSLR or something other than phone for this though. But the theories and the practice exercises in the mobile class can be applied to other cameras. The first lesson was AE/AF lock. Which is an awesome thing to learn on a DSLR too.

Can't wait to see what you scrap with this beauty!

    Awesome photo Courtney!

I much prefer to have a photo that I can use straight out of the camera. I'm not the best photographer but I've gotten some awesome shots over the years. The key for me has been to always use the camera (not a phone camera) and take it off of automatic. A couple of my favorite photos were taken years ago with a P&S on P mode. A local award winning photographer was very impressed with them as well.

Don't get me wrong I do use my phone camera but mostly for taking pictures of things in stores. My hands are too shaky and I need something that I can grab with both hands to take photos, thus a regular camera.

    Thanks you!

I did! I love Chari. I did use my DSLR. I'm old fashioned that way. I like it better than my phone.

    Me too!

    Thanks!

I hate editing. I'd rather be scrapping!
