That looks so cool! Especially since the image has that dark shadow on the building surface and then that bare winter tree branch creeping in! I love it. What did you use to add the glow? The layer effects or through a series of blur layers-light/white/opacity ? Love your final background image so much! TFS and playing along.
That image is perfect for blending into a PP. I love the effect you achieved! And then being able to see the full color image that you started with is so cool too. It's awesome how it pops aghast the darkness of the background. Really cool page!
Oh cool! I see that is a filter in PS in the Filter Gallery. I don't think I've played with that ... but totally want to now. TFS your tips with us!
It seems like such a cliche: The possibilities are endless. But they ARE! Thank you for this inspiration. I hope I remember to try it often!
It's so true! The nature of this style of page lends itself to endless artistic expression and play! I love your city scape and scratchy texture! gorgeous with the framed version in B&W!
Thanks so much, Jenn. I need to start making notes when I do things like this. I just go at it - trying this and that until I get the look I want.
I just played around with a photograph I took recently and just wasn't happy with it. When I manipulated it like I did, I fell in love with it! What a great technique to use on so-so photos. I didn't add the framed photo on the layout - I tried and it just took away from the beauty of this picture.
