Since Jo Ann was always saying how she was never, ever going to get to go to Williamsburg again, I asked what was keeping her. Answer: it wouldn't be any fun alone and George couldn't keep up her pace anymore. Todd, George and I had a good laugh. Never, ever going again – she'd already been like 7 times and every time she swore was the last time she was ever going to get to go. I reminded her that I was going home to PA at least once a year. She was more than welcome to join me and I'm sure we could take a few days to go to her favorite place on earth. She thought about it and agreed that maybe we would try it. What started out as a little over a week blossomed into just over two because travel days didn't count as vacation and two days wouldn't be enough in Williamsburg but she wanted to make sure I could see my family and friends. And she wanted to go back to Gettysburg for sightseeing and a full day of antiquing – which I said I'd be skipping. We had a great time. She made most of the plans but differed to my preferences when she had to choose between two fabulous options. The only downside was my mom couldn't come with us because she caught my friend Missy's cold and spent a large part of my trip in bed. We had lunch in some of the new shops springing up outside the historic district something Jo Ann hadn't managed to do before. Every night, we had dinner in a different tavern so she could reminisce about past meals and visits and make comments on any changes. Every day was the best one ever and tomorrow couldn't possibly top it. Yet it did. I'm glad we went. I'm sad that she was right and she isn't going to every go to Williamsburg again.
