ahem -- it's was 1985. -- carry on.
I know it's probably too late, but I made it, so I wanted to post it.
Journaling reads- In 8th grade, my friends had a Surprise party for me. My best friends planned it. I Had no idea! Two of my Friends were taking me out To lunch, and while waiting For the bus, Amber said she had to Return earrings she borrowed From Denise, the Girl, hosting the party. I was Actually kind of annoyed. I said, ‘now?!’ We’re going to Miss the bus!’ She said she Had to ‘NOW!’ So we get to Denise’s House, and the first thing I see when I walk in the door is Becky, With a camera ready. And I said, ‘Hi Becky, what are you doing Here? I didn’t think she even knew Denise. Then I hear, SURPRISE!! Yelled out, and look around. All my friends are there!! I felt really special, because I wasn’t exactly popular. And didn’t think I Was one of those people that people threw surprise parties For. We had A great time! They gave me a really cool outfit and shoes. I loved them! The eighties were all about music and clothes For me. Then we all went and saw Desperately Seeking Susan starring Madonna, in the theatre! I was so happy! I loved Madonna, and was a total Madonnawannabe. I didn’t dress That way, except my hair sometimes and the gellie bracelets And bangeles up my arms, but she was my favorite singer. A bunch of us ended up staying the night. It was a blast!! I know I probably Said, You don’t know how much this means to me. But really, I bet they never knew how much it Meant to me.
