special visit

One of our boys was named after this couple's son who was tragically killed in a car accident. these are pics from our visit with them when boys were little and they feel a very special bond with our boys that I love that the photos capture

One of the places that we most wanted to visit that first year that we were home was North Carolina to visit Wills parents. They were so excited to meet the two of you and immediately they became Big Daddy and Mamie to you. You were kings of the castle at their house and they doted on you every single minute that we were there. One morning we just sat around the table, while you ended up ON the table while Watson and Evelyn played and laughed and talked with you. There was definitely a sweetness of watching your interactions with them and their obvious love for you.From the moment we arrived, they had been letting you play with this Mickey Mouse that talks to you when you push a button on its hand. And the two of you just adored it...and they, in turn, got no small amount of pleasure watching you laugh at it. The last day as we were packing up to leave, we started to walk out without it and oh, the tears....So, Big Daddy was not about to have any of that and promptly insisted that we take it with us. We were taking a flight that afternoon and were packed to the brim, so we ended up carrying that on the plane with us. But it certainly has brought no end of joy to the two of you as you continue to play with Mickey Dow Doo from Big Daddy and Mamie!
