Both the original & do-over are unique in their own way. Original = serious & dangerous. Do-over = Funky & friendly. But I prefer the do-over, esp the placement of the small photos. They balance out the seriousness of the big one. Of cos not forgetting the use of those beautiful colors !!!

Oh, I love this!! The Eiffel Tower stamp is fantastic - and looks like it was paper scrapped instead of digiscrapped with the breaks over the frame. I can so relate to your journaling, too! It is very sobering when you see the French military armed with their machine guns in the train stations and airports. When we took the train from Luxembourg to Paris, they even got on the train and walked up and down the aisles. Talk about culture shock!! Great job on your layout.
