My love for cats began when I was just a young girl. This photo of me was taken in 1976, when I had just turned six years old. At the bottom right of the photo, you can just see the top of my sister Anna's head. She was born in May of that year, so she was just a wee thing starting to crawl. I'm sitting with the creepiest doll I've ever seen beside me, grinning like crazy, because I'm holding a gray kitten that I had dressed in doll clothes. I'm amazed at the docility of the cat, but I'm not amazed that I chose the cat over the doll - I mean, really, that doll is not cute! I don't remember this cat's name, although we had a couple of gray kittens when I was a bit older that we named Tallyho and Sebastian. And yes, I dressed those cats in doll clothes, too! My happy definitely looks like this, even in adulthood. Nothing makes me happier than to be holding a cat.
There is SOOOO much awesome in this layout, I love ALL the little touches, the 'worn edges' the date stamp, the amazing shadowing and all the cute word arts that just make this perfect! And of course, the cat!!! Oh my gosh!! I loved that you zoomed in. And then of course, when I finished reading and came to "nothing makes me happier than holding a cat" my first thought was, "yes, but do you still dress them up?" Totally a fav!
@Serena If I had trained Holly Belle from kittenhood, I think I **might** have succeeded in dressing her up. Now, if I tried to dress her in doll clothes, she'd claw me to ribbons. LOL Thanks for the sweet compliment!
