Journaling reads:
I have always been creative. Being an only child I learned to play make believe and pretend a lot on my own. I always loved drawing and coloring and art supplies of any kind. And paper...oooohhhhh paper. In our increasingly digital world, I still have a hard time saying goodbye to paper. When I was a little older I fell in love with crafts. I met the glue gun and it was all over. I made fabric wreaths that my mom sold at work, I made Christmas ornaments and lots more. I then turned to scrapbooking which was the mecca of all the supplies and tools and colors and textures I’ve always loved. And then I found digital scrapbooking and I love it. It is the perfect creative outlet with no mess. As I started raising a family, this was much more practical to slip up to the office to scrap a page and leave the office just as I found it with no cleanup. And now as a Yoga teacher, I get to be creative with my teaching too, my sequencing and the words I choose to share are all carefully crafted. And I still love paint and markers and adult coloring books and crochet and cross stitch and glue and paper. And I dabble in all of it all the time. If I have a period where I can’t be creative in some way, i feel it and dipping in that world just a little feeds my soul.
