First Taste

Thanksgiving Day 2008 I decided to give you your first real taste of baby food. We had done the cereal thing for a while now and you really seemed not to be getting enough of it, so it was time for something new. I choose your big sisters all-time favorite Sweet Potatoes, perfect for the holiday too, don’tca think? After grinding them all up in the food processer for you, I went ahead and gave you your first ever taste. At first taste you were not sure what to think. You made a funny face, spit it out and stuck out your tongue at me! But soon you discovered you really liked Sweet Potatoes and I could not get them into your mouth fast enough! You stole the spoon right out of my hand, almost saying “No worries momma I got this” and proceeded to feed yourself! You were a mess head to toe! Full of Sweet Potato goodness but it was so worth watching you chow down all those potatoes
