beautiful page Barbara. Sorry you do not know the origin story where your Grandmother got the plant to have in her wedding bouquet, but that you and your sister have clippings and your own plants that your son started is really cool.. a family heirloom for sure! Beautifully scrapped!
Love the angle that the photo was taken from! The plant is such a treasure for you! Great placement of the journaling and I really like the horizontal lines under it.
This is SO gorgeous Barbara and I love that you still have this plant that got it's origins from your Grandma's wedding bouquet! If that were in my house it would make me twitchy with nerves because I'm AWFUL at keeping things alive... so I'm glad it's at your house! Also, I think you should make up a story about where your Grandma got the original plant... like your Grandpa snuck into a Royal garden on his travels somewhere and snuck a clipping for her.
@Karen
it is from my GREAT Grandma's bouquet! How cool...... except they were in Finland when they got married, I do know that. My dad's mother came here with her parents when she was a girl and it was her mother's bouquet where it came from. I do know it must of been pretty special to bring it here with her from Finland!
treasures like this dont come often.... your amazing talent for putting the page together, with the story which is so amazing.... the continuity of our elders is something we have in our family (i used to have a plant made from my grandma 's 60 years old plant, had to leave it back when we came back to England) so I know how amazing the feeling can be.. as usual, LOVE this all over!!!!! into the August Froggy Faves!!!!
