Journaling reads:

The year was 1975 and Matthew was around two years old and Michelle around six months old. We had gone to visit the beach at Bendalong on the south coast of NSW before we moved up to the north coast to live. I can remember going to the south coast as a kid camping and then Ron and I went there a lot before we had the kids. On this particular day Matt ran around the beach chasing all the sea gulls while I had to nurse ‘chells as she kept wanting to eat the sand! It wasn’t quite summer so it was too cold for them
to have a swim but I think they enjoyed themselves a lot. They were happy days and I am glad we had made that trip as I have not been back there since. Wonderful memories that I will forever keep close. - written 6/07/2018
