Journaling reads:
We actually have very little information about Sarah Jane Todd. She was the oldest of the Todd children, baptized 1 Mar 1877 at Bitchfield, Lincolnshire, England. Sarah accompanied her parents aboard “The Queen” arriving at Castle Garden, New York on 11 Mar 1884 and they settled in Livingston County, Illinois. The ship’s manifest incorrectly listed Sarah as James so she likely went by Jane. Sister Florence Mary appears as Teresa, but no one knows where Teresa came from. Perhaps the agent couldn’t read the handwriting when he completed the manifest. She married Gilbert Elliott 10 Mar 1897 in Fairbury, Illinois. They had three children: Ray (1898), Florence Verrene (1903), and Everett Edwin (1905). Sarah died 15 Feb 1964 at Fairbury.
