Save Your $$

I really wanted to document a life lesson that my kids went through this past year - that not everything is just handed to you, and that sometimes saving for something you want can take a long time.
Journaling: "So here's the story - Sebastian & Isaac came to us one day & asked if they could each have a DS. We told them No, you already have a wii, a PS2 and computers. If you want anything else, you'll have to save your $$ and buy it yourself. They cleared out their piggy banks. 'We have ten dollars, is that enough? ' I explained that they would need 13 ten dollar bills to buy a DS. 'Wow, that's a lot!' they said. At that moment, they agreed to start saving their money until they could buy a DS. Within a few months, they had enough between the three of them to pool their funds and get a DS to share. We were so proud of them!"
