My daughter's school has a year11 charity ball instead of a formal - all the students are expected to buy their outfits from local charity shops, and all money raised goes to charity - such a great idea. We got a nice red dress for $8 - Meaghan was rapt. She was rather ticked off when some of the girls spent enormous amounts of money at their normal shops instead, they complained that they never wore second hand outfits. Most of them complied though and guess which group had a more fun night??
