I used Row B with
word art: She Flies from the LilyPad Collab Wings
template: Hear My Voice 34 Soaring
foliage: behind my photo and painted onto the wooden background paper
patterned paper: both to the right of the photo from Rachel Jefferies This Day is Mine, which I also used for extras (solid papers, cup of tea) retired from BYOC Nov 2020, not available at other stores where Rachel's product is sold
circles: doodled & paper part of the above template
My journaling reads:
I posed for this photo in our Queen Lane backyard late in my fourth year of medical school. All students wore these short white jackets. I remember wanting a photo before I tossed mine since in the last week of June I would begin wearing the longer coat of a real doctor. I made those pants and continued wearing them every time I was on overnight call. They were comfortable when I had the chance to crawl into bed. My right pocket held my stethoscope. My “peripheral brain” made the left side hang low. I filled that blue binder with notes I referred to while writing progress notes. I often read about respiratory and metabolic acidosis or alkalosis as I interpreted arterial blood gases. It was such a complete summary that many of my colleagues asked to copy it after reading a note I had written. Copy as in with a pen on paper into their pocket brain. I modified and used that same binder for years. Also, I drank quite alot of hot tea during those years.

Words 2026
Thank you for stopping by. Something about your comment made me take another look at my post. It was then that I realized my words were totally illegible. Sometimes I mean to do that and others like this time, that’s not the case. I’ve added them and hopefully, I’ll remember to check and make them more visible when I’m happy to share. Thanks for noticing that my photo was indeed “old” and “precious”! Thank you for hosting this challenge.
