I can relate to being in this position, the sandwich between aging parents and barely independent children who still need a soft spot to land. We don’t have a special needs child though, so that is an added stress. Your question at the end about having anyone to care for you when the time comes is deeply emotional. It’s like a background question that lingers. You know it’s there, but you don’t have time to worry about it now. Beautifully scrapped and emotional page. Perfect choice of colours. The bird in the circle indicates the child who may not be able to take flight.
