Journaling translation:
In August 1985 they were still building the Oosterscheldekering (it is a special dam/bridge to keep the see from flooding the land in the event of a big storm). Every summer we would go and watch. This time my sister and I were photographed on the beach of Westenschouwen with the cranes and pilons in the background.
Today it is 2022 and the storm dam was completed almost 35 years ago. We are spending this sunny autumn day in Zeeland. A good opportunity to try and recreate that picture with my own children.
btw: I'm on the right in the top picture, in the grey and red tracksuit.
