Oh I loved this one. Big thanks to Lynn Grieveson for the template.
I wish I had moved 10 years earlier, I might have got the chance to rummage in this store.
In honour of it, I made a page that has paper and messy twine at its core. I am so happy to be a digi scrapper, but paper is and will always be my first and true love
Oh wow, wow, wow, Claire!!! This is amazing! I LOVE your take on the challenge. The big title is perfect! I love the page design and all the paint and scribbles as well. So beautiful!
What a perfect tribute to the paper & twine co. I love the NY skyline in the background and the real paper feel to this page. Your torn title is perfection!
OH!! I LOVE this so much! All the grungy doodles and texture on your kraft paper, and then that huge blue corrugated board title... Perfect!! BTW, I really love learning more about New York through your pages.
Ladies!! @ashleywb@Saar@Angela Toucan@CaroB71 Thank you so much for your lovely comments, I know I shouldn't have faves, but this one really spoke to all my loves!
@Claire Grantham I think I share your love of all things paper. Such a pity it closed down a few years before I visited NYC - I would have definitely had it on my list of places to visit.
Love your layout with the sign on the side of the building, the neutral background with the black paint and cityscape and your torn paper title in blue along with the washi tape.
The torn title is absolutely perfect for your subject matter here! That would frustrate me too! Although it's probably best for your pocketbook that it's not there anymore. Hee hee! I love the black painty doodle bits you've added to the background on here too! The tiny bit of washi pulls the whole thing together perfectly.
