Beautiful layout and great vintage picture. So what am I missing with the empty photo places? Is this designed to say lack of photos? Or life is empty with them? Or what? I'm confused.

@flowersgal My Aunt & Uncle were only married for about 3 years when he died in India in WWII. So they had no life together for her for the rest of her life. It was empty without him so of course there are no more pictures of them. I didn't want to add all of this in the layout. My cousin will understand.

@cookingmylife - thanks for the explanation. Sad story. Is your cousin their daughter? Your layout is a poignant reminder for your aunt's loss.

The empty photo spots speak volumes. You have created a beautiful page with the photo, and photo treatment. Thank you for sharing their story. xo

You totally rocked this! Such a wonderful idea that says so much and so powerfully and beautiful

Wow! A powerful layout! Like Cheryl said above, it speaks volumes. BTW... I took a peek at your previous MOC layout. My uncle Stan was in the Army - Air Force division in WWII. But I believe he was a plane mechanic. I was told that he flew often, apparently they needed someone on board should something happen? Or maybe that is just legend. I've scrapped a bit of his story as well. But he did come home from the war, unlike your uncle.

@mcurtt I don't doubt that they needed someone ESP like a mechanic just in case. Where was Uncle Stan? I mean what theater of the war.
