We had never needed to watch what we ate, first we lived in a fisherman;s village turned most expensive holiday spot for tourist wide world, where, Thank God, when we lived there there were no processed stuff, the buying drinks was still with the "pay for your bottle first time, bring it back next time" method on glass so not even need for recycling (imagine if we went back to that, how many beaches, animals and eco system in general would be much healthier and avoiding death) then we always cooked together, Sarita decided being a vegetarian, which lasted 5 years and we had the blessing of Quorn, but now, for many reasons apart from the lock-down/quarantine thing, she has put a LOT of weight on and I am afraid I have sent my diabetes & cholesterol into chaos, my fear is that I could go back to the road down to dialysis which I was able to beat a couple of years ago.... something needed to be done.
Sarita won a Hello Fresh thing (recipe boxes) with 50% discount and we have been doing this for 3 weeks, getting the 3rd this Monday, and not just loving it, but saving money and food waste. Of course, we HAD TO say goodbye to treats in style.... hence the Donuts feast!.... I have to say, I blame Sharon (@sharlamb) for this, as I got tempted after seeing her Square Donuts page!!!!! :giggle

      Good for you for taking charge and getting onto healthier eating. All this stay at home has caused many of us to eat more carbs. I'm with Sarita on cutting back on them now. Wishing her and you well in this new journey. Lovely layout.
