Chihuly-2015 - MOC #5-12

Description
JOURNALING: This is one of several glass sculptures, created by master artist Dale Chihuly, at the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus Ohio. The title is “Persian Ceiling” and it consists of panels of brightly colored glass shapes. It was on view at the Conservatory in 2003-2004 as part of “The Chihuly Collection”. The exhibition was so successful that local donors bought the entire collection as a gift to the Conservatory, making them the only botanical garden with a permanent collection of Dale Chihuly’s artworks.

Dale Chihuly’s work is in more than 200 museums and he has received many awards, including twelve honorary doctorates and two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Wow! What wonderful looking art pieces. And how great that the Franklin Park Conservatory has so many of Chihuly's works on permanent display. I found the template hard to work with (too many elements) but it looks like you did a great job with it. LOVE the font for the title and the full justification on your journaling spots.

Oh wow!! How beautiful!! That must have been amazing to see! Wonderful work with the template! Love your clusters!

Very striking page with the contrasting colors. I love how you changed up the template.

These look so cool! I was trying to see them closer up - lol. art teacher in me LOVES it!

What beautiful glasswork and how wonderful to see this art. I love the way that you have scrapped these photos.

This is magical! I saw his work in Washington, DC and then in Palm Springs, it is glorious, and your LO does it justice!
