We never dreamed of starting our own school. Training in Dallas, experience there and in Mexico led to this venture. We went to Honduras to work with an experienced couple and be support to them. Just before our arrival, the husband was diagnosed with cancer, and had to take measures that made it impossible to be able to team up with us.
Instead, we contracted to work at The School of Tomorrow in Honduras’ capital City of Tegucigalpa. During the second semester, we were approached by another
Couple who had a ministry in that same city. They asked us to work with them.
Then hurricane Hugo hit. The devastation was immense! We received an influx of
funds to help those affected by the storm. The government was pilfering the funds from
other nations. We helped many families and had a great surplus amount. We were led
to use it to fund the opening of Living Water Academy.
The private Christian school has been in operation for 18
years and has an enrollment of 200+ students.
