A Wintry World

Journaling reads:

My favourite season is winter. Though I don’t always love winter driving conditions (nothing like going out to the car in the morning to find one’s vehicle covered in half a foot of snow!), you will rarely hear me complain about the ice and snow. I love crisp, cold air; and snow-covered evergreens; and the cozy feeling of being safe and snug inside, while watching the gently falling snow. Pre-COVID19, I also appreciated the occasional snow day, when there was nothing to do but stay inside and bake cookies, play Scrabble, and catch up on some reading … however, given the months of COVID19 lockdown that we have just endured, I suspect the snow day may have lost some of its appeal! My birthday is in December; and Christmas is my favourite holiday; and a wintry world just feels like my natural habitat, I guess.
