Text: (The day/night we moved to the US)
You had just turned 2, your brother was not quite 3 months old. You had gone to preschool in the morning to bid farewell to your teachers and friends. We had spent the last afternoon by the pool playing with our dear friends. And later we had left for the airport, in two separate taxis due to the amount of luggage. You were very excited on the plane, and it took hours to get you to sleep. Dad actually fell asleep before you and I kept on waking him up because I could not handle running after you while holding your brother who refused to settle in the bassinet but would happily sleep on my chest. About 5 hours into the flight (and well past your bedtime!), you were finally asleep. You had left wearing your usual short, T-shirt and sandals attire (you had barely ever worn anything warmer than that) and when we landed, you absolutely refused to put on the warm pants, jumper and shoes we had brought for you. We did not fight it so, on a cold Texas morning, you disembarked dressed for the beach. A few steps out of the plane, you came to your senses! It took a couple more days until you accepted to wear much needed mittens and hat when outside. What a life change for such a little person!
Wow, that is a big life change for a 2-year-old! Loved reading your journaling - great storytelling, and love the photo of your little guy sacked out! Thanks for playing along with my challenge!
