Doing Without Photos

I know hard for us scrappers to actually believe but yes, wonderfully creative LOs can be achieved with no photos. There I said it! I know we all want to scrap the big smiles and bright eyes of our loved ones and create those memories. But that isn’t all there is to scrapping. Wait before you jump up to disagree, scrapping is also our creative outlet. No matter what skill level we are on the creative aspect of scrapping is an important aspect of our fabulous obsession.

So you may be wondering what goes into making a great photoless LO. Well I’ve searched through TLP galleries and it didn’t take long to find many LOs to get some great inspiration from.

With this LO by Laura we can really see how no photo is needed to scrap this very raw emotion. The use of dark colors, added grunge and the perfect title is all it takes for some scrapping therapy.

A photoless LO doesn’t always have to invoke such emotion. They can be fun and simply document an important milestone in our little ones lives. This LO by MamaBee uses fun elements and detailed journaling to tell the story behind this photoless LO. The perfect addition of chosen elements such as the potty really keep with the story and give it that added touch.

Those of you who may not journal much may find it a taunting task to fill a page with a lot of words. While TLP’s on Sara Gleason has some great prompts to help you in your journaling journey, taking a less wordy approach works as well. This to the point LO by Sarah Bennett is all that is needed. A few choice words with this large title is all that is needed to make this LO grab attention.

With just bringing a new year resolutions are a hot topic. We all make them, we will run more, eat healthier, spend more time with our family and a long list of other things. But for us scrappers we know what is important and what a better way to start off our scrapping commitment than with a photoless LO. Interstichal really knows how to fill a page without a single picture with this fun LO about her scrapping commitment for this new year.

Some of us actually have no scrapping goals. I know, it is a weird thing but true there is life outside of our current LO. Scrapsandsass sets out her reading goal for the new year and yes key elements to show what this LO is all about. Listing the goals wasn’t what really made this photoless LO stand out but rather the story behind it all. Her love of books runs deep folks and what a better way to document this part of her life than this creative photoless LO.

Now our loves don’t have to be so detailed it can just be quirky and fun. This LO by Marlen tells a story even if you don’t know the words all without photos. Yes java junkies of any language can relate to this one.

I know this is plenty of inspiration to get your creative juices flowing and I look forward to seeing a flash flood of photoless LOS in TLP’s gallery 🙂
