Hello!!! Cynthia aka MrsPeel here! I hope everyone is well and having a great day! So, lets talk about double pagers! We have an amazing challenge this month for double page layouts, also called two page spreads. The challenge is hosted by someone who is more than a talent at it: HeatherB. Heather has been one of my main inspirations for scrapping since 2010. I also got the double page bug! When I posted one of my last spreads in the gallery, some people suggested I should write a post about how to get good results. Technically, I don't think we can call this a tutorial, but I can give you tips that will work in almost any style! I hope you find this useful! For the May Style Challenge, Heather made this wonderful double page layout. What is a double page spread?I would start by explaining my concept of a double page spread. It is scrapping two pages, side by side … [Read more...]
Planner Love: Pretty & Printable
Hi, everyone! Sarah here with another planner post for you all today. This time I'm having some fun with Valorie Wibben's new Naked Planner collection. I wanted to create some planner pages where no special tools were needed. For these all you need are your computer and a printer. I thought it would be fun to show what you can do without sticker paper or a cutting machine (not even scissors are required, though a paper trimmer is helpful).First I began by creating this planner using a half page binder (I picked this one up at Walmart for just a few dollars) and a divider from Valorie's The Naked Planner's Closet: Fueled. Here are a couple of the inside pages. I used the A5 sized inserts from The Naked Planner and resized them to fit into the binder. To decorate the pages I used The Naked Planner's Closet: Fueled as well as the coordinating Sprinkles V42. I love using a … [Read more...]
Dear Polly: May
Hey y'all! Polly here, I hope y'all are recovering from the craziness that was iNSD last weekend. What a fun weekend for everyone. My dear Bart had a little too much fun, thanks to all y'all, so he's in the dog house right now. I thought I'd take a few minutes and answer a couple of the questions that I go during iNSD.From Amanda: "I have a question Dear Polly! How mad DO mosquitoes GET in a mannequin factory?"Well of course they get blazin' mad. Wouldn't you if there was nothing to eat? This one is from Kristina "How do you make the determination of what you'll buy...? How do you set those priorities, when the TLP designers keep flooding our store with so much goodness?!"Well first off, I live by the rule that if it catches my eye and I love it, I get it...Even if it is something that I may not be able to use right away. I tend to buy more girly kits and such, so those … [Read more...]

DIY Mini Smashbook
Hi everyone, Sarah here. Today I have a hybrid project that is quick and easy to create and packs a lot of fun into a small package.I used the Memory Pockets Monthly Bloom Collection for the project. To begin I chose a few of the journal cards from the main kit and printed them in sets of two (to create a 4"x6" set of pages) on premium copy paper. Most of the cards that I chose were 3"x4" but I did adjust some of the other sized cards to fit into that format. I made sure to keep each set of cards centered in either the top half or bottom half of the page. This way I could get two sets of pages on each sheet of paper. I also printed one of the journal cards onto the upper right side of a sheet of cardstock for my cover. On the other side of each inside set of pages I printed patterned papers. I filled the entire half of each sheet with a different patterned paper from the … [Read more...]
