November Challenges
Hello everyone! It’s Polly Karen back again with a look at our new batch of monthly challenges for November. Each month we have 8 brand new challenges that are posted in the forum Challenge Pad on the 1st day of the month. (the BYOC Challenge is posted on the 1st Friday of the month.) You can use the challenges simply to inspire you to keep creating new layouts OR you can also earn yourself a fabulous coupon for your next shopping trip in the Lilypad Store. (2 challenges = 10%, 4 challenges = 20% and 6 challenges = 30%). Those who complete at least 7 challenges will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate! Isn’t that an awesome prize?!?! You’ll get lots of great memories captured in your scrapbooks AND you could win a fat gift certificate prize!!! Pretty great, right?! So let’s take a look at this month’s new batch of challenges!
1. Scraplift Challenge – The first challenge for this month is the Scraplift Challenge hosted by Kayla (keepscrappin). Kayla chose the talented Kiana (AKA LoveItScrapIt) for you to scraplift this month. Simply pick one layout from Kiana’s Gallery and then create your own scraplifted version. Here is a layout that Kayla picked followed by her scraplifted version:
2. Style Challenge – The Style Challenge for November is being hosted by Stefanie (StefanieS) and she is challenging you to create a layout that uses only ONE photo. You can use a large or a small photo, but only one. Here’s a gorgeous sample layout that Stefanie created:
3. Random Challenge – The next challenge in the lineup is the Random Challenge hosted by Heather (HeatherB). Heather is challenging you to incorporate some memorabilia into a layout this month. You can either scan your memorabilia or you can take a photo of it and use that photo somewhere on your page. Here’s a layout Heather created with a menu that she included from a fancy dinner:
4. Template Challenge – The next challenge up for November is the Template Challenge hosted by Christas (cfile). The challenge is to use the free template supplied by Lynn Grieveson and create a layout using it. Here’s a look at the free template followed by a sample that Christa created using it:
5. Photography Challenge – The Photography Challenge for November is being hosted by Courtney (bestcee). Courtney would like you to feature photos of foods on a layout this month. She’s given a list of helpful hints on tricks to successful food photography in the forum. Here’s Courtney’s sample food photo layout:
6. Inspiration Challenge – Lori (lcpereyra) is hosting the Inspiration Challenge this month and has created a great mood board for you to draw inspiration from. Here’s a peek at her mood board followed by her layout created with inspiration from that mood board:
7. Journaling Challenge – The journaling challenge for November is being hosted by Ashley (ashleywb) who is challenging you to create a layout with journaling directly on a photo. Here’s a great example layout that she created with journaling on top of her photo:
8. BYOC Challenge – Finally we have the BYOC Challenge. This challenge will be hosted and posted by Natasha (bcnatty) on Friday, November 4th, when the BYOC Collection for November will be released in the store. The challenge will be to use 90% of the products on your page from this month’s BYOC collection and from at least 3 designers.

There is your peek at this month’s brand new batch of challenges. Once you create your own layouts inspired by these challenges, be sure to post them to the appropriate galleries as listed above.
