Hi guys! It’s Polly Monica here with some Halloween layouts that I know you are going to love!
I don’t know if you’re like me, but I am getting so inspired to scrap by looking through the gallery at The Lilypad, the fun Halloween Bash activities in the forum, and the amazing Halloween themed products that the designers here have released this month.
There is so much to scrap during this time of the year from pumpkin carving to dressing up!
I’m thrilled to show you just a smidgen of Halloween themed layouts I found while perusing through the gallery. I tried to highlight a variety of styles and themes with these layouts. My challenge to you is to take one of these or find another layout in the gallery and use them as inspiration to get scrapping your Halloween layouts!
PS – TLP SS by jang was created for the Slow Scrap challenge for The Lilypad’s Halloween Bash. She did an excellent job following the instructions for the challenge. I’m inspired by her use of stamps in the background.
Spooky Night at CW by loridigi was scrapped for the October template challenge. I’m inspired by her black and white photo treatment. It really sets the theme for this layout.
Boo Crew by Natalie C is full of great Halloween photos. I’m inspired by her bright pops of color and element clustering. To read more about clustering, read this post in the forum and follow the instructions the for Technique Slow Scrap accompanying it.
Carved by jennschultz inspires me to tell the story of pumpkin carving. My family did this for the first time this year and it was quite the experience! I love how her photo is cut up into a grid design. I’ll be taking inspiration from that, too!
October 2016 Journaling Challenge by cinna is an great example of a photoless list layout. You don’t have to have a Halloween photo to scrap a Halloween themed layout. Just make a list of your favorite (or not-so-favorite) things about Halloween.
Trick or Treat by FarrahJobling really inspires me to change up my perspective when taking Halloween photos. I love the way she captures this moment without a full body shot!
Bump in the Night by wombat146 inspires us to scrap an extracted photo. This is not a technique I use very often, but I always admire it in layouts, especially when it’s done well like it is here!
My Halloween Costumes Through the Years by michelepixels inspires us all to scrap our own Halloween costumes through the years. I’m dressing up for the first time with my own kids this Halloween and you better believe I’m going to scrap a photo of that! The idea for this layout actually came from a chat about Halloween costumes in the forum.
Halloween at the Aquarium by umyesh is such a clean layout with minimal elements. I am inspired by the clean lines and purposeful use of elements to tell the story.
2013 Alex Halloween Party by lowan is full page that truly highlights a beautiful photo. Be inspired by her use of patter and placement of elements while still bringing the focus to a Halloween photo.
I hope you’ll find inspiration for your own Halloween scrapping from these layouts that I shared today! I would love to hear about or see any layouts you create during the Halloween season.
