As we finish off the year, our family has a tradition of having lots of finger foods and appetizers for New Year's Eve at home. We watch movies or play games and bring in the year with full bellies. One of our favorites and a super easy go-to that we always beg my husband to make is: Sausage Balls. They are so yummy and you cannot just eat one lol. And the best part....is that they only need 3 simple ingredients! Ingredients: 1 - pound package of your favorite breakfast sausage 1 - pound bag of sharp cheddar cheese 2 - cups of biscuit baking powder mix (1/4 cup of milk if they seem too dry after mixing everything together)**After mixing all ingredients together completely you'll have a dough. Roll into balls about the size of a golf-ball and place onto baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for about 18-20 minutes, until they are golden brown and sausage is cooked through. … [Read more...]
Straw Rockets For The 4th
Hi there, it's Katrina, aka katrinahunt13, here to share a hybrid project that you can get the kids involved with. I know we have international pad members, but this coming Tuesday is the United States 4th of July, which means summer party! Summer parties, usually mean gatherings of kids too! What I am sharing today is a fun and safe way for the little ones to "shoot" fireworks also. And bonus, they don't need to wait until dark and they won't run out of things to shoot!I give you Straw Rockets!!! And the digital supplies from The Lilypad store are fun to use this way and can be adapted for any party or activity! For this project, I used Bella Gypsy's Rad, White and Blue collection. So the supplies you will need are a printer and regular printer paper (cardstock is too heavy for this), … [Read more...]
Document Your December: List Style
Today I am going to share with you a new to me approach to Document Your December.December is a busy month and while it is important to me to document all of the memories, I don't always have time to be super creative. I have learned, after a few years of incomplete DYD projects (insert sad face), that simplicity is what works for me. If it weren't for keeping lists I wouldn't be able to remember all of the things that need to be done in my daily life. Earlier this year I found a community of listers. Yes! I am not alone. There are others that "love to list" as much, if not more, than myself. I have been "creatively listing" everything from the grocery list to wish lists ever since. Fast forward to June, when I was introduced … [Read more...]
