Welcome to the second Workshop in the Heart of Scripture Series where we will go on a journey of Faith and Creativity as we study the Psalms together. This workshop is a 4-week study on Thanksgiving and Confidence and we will focus on one chapter a week, discovering how these songs written so long ago apply to our lives today.

You will also have creative prompts to help you represent what you are learning visually.  Bible Journaling can mean many different things and in this workshop you will see examples of digital, traditional and hybrid styles of Bible Journaling.  If you have been comfortable with Bible Journaling for a long time, or are brand new to the idea, you will be encouraged and it'll be a lot of fun.  

You can find the first Workshop in this series, Praise and Petition, in the shop HERE but each Workshop can stand alone.  There is so such thing as being "behind".  

Also included in each Workshop is its own private forum where women share their art, their thoughts on the Scripture, prayer requests and provide community for each other.  There are music playlists, tutorials and the occasional extra bonus from Jen.  This is where all of the information for the Workshop will be posted!

There are few things in this world I like to do more than play my watercolors! They are a unique medium that lend themselves to ~*PLAY & EXPLORATION*~ in this class we'll dive in together to learn the basics of watercolor, including mixing our own unique signature colors, but mostly we'll be explorers! Everything I learned about watercolors was through this type of play (no stuffy rules or "right way" to do things will be found here!). Celebrated on November 2nd, traditions include building private altars honoring the deceased, using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed, and visiting graves with these as gifts." It might sound a little morbid, if you aren't familiar with the holiday, but it's a major cause of celebration in the Southwest.

We are ecstatic to announce that our entire family will be teaching this new online workshop for kids and the young at heart! We've been doing Summer camp for kids in our Studio for a few years now and Tangie owned her own preschool for 4 years!

This workshop will focus on the heart of what art journaling truly is and we hope to inspire a lifelong passion with art journaling in your child! 

A few of the ideas we'll explore: Imaginary creatures, Sweets & Treats, Sammy's dolls in watercolor & collage, Robots & Not so scary Monsters, Scribble Flowers, Collage in all its wide variety, basic watercolor techniques, doodling and tangles, plus so much more!

What you receive in this workshop:

• Composition notebook (will wrinkle, but will be fine!) or watercolor journal. We are using these Fabriano journals in our video, the paper wrinkles but we love it! 
• Crayola or Prang watercolor set
• Paint brush(es)
• Set of markers & Crayons
• Glue sticks
• Appropriate magazines to cut up (Don't have any? Ask neighbors or friends if they have some you can cut up, some thrift stores have magazines or you can use "junk mail" if you don't have access to any magazines).
• OPTIONAL: Small set of Acrylic Paint or Gouache  (Some white paint would be very helpful, at the very least)
