Wolf Moon' is the traditional name given to the first full moon of January. This name was bestowed by Native American tribes in response to the wolves that were often heard howling during the winter nights. While it was long believed that wolves howled out of hunger, contemporary understanding suggests that howling serves multiple purposes, including communication among pack members and the defense of their territory. The Wolf Moon symbolizes new beginnings. The intentions set at the start of the New Year may now begin to take a more concrete shape under this moon phase. This period is an opportune time for self-reflection, fostering gratitude, and embracing transformation.
