Happy Fourth of July to all of my stateside friends! As we celebrate Independence Day this weekend, tons of layouts have been popping up in the gallery that show everyone’s patriotic spirit. Today I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you.
This layout by lowan uses the red, white, and blue colors and employs some incredible edge clustering work! I love how the edge of the page is so energetic!
This blocked layout by Sweeet has lots of great things going for it. There are some awesome clusters that work to balance the page, the use of the large photo really makes a statement, and the angled photo in the middle is a nice break from all of the linear elements of the rest of the page.
This layout by disneysheryl65 has a lot of busy photos on it. Keeping them in a grid format really helps to bring order and keep the layout from looking to overwhelming. Also, the flair in the upper middle of the page is the perfect statement to draw the eye to the page.
The blending and layering on this layout by MrsPeel is outstanding. I love how the map paper works with the photo of the Statue of Liberty, and all of the elements blended and layered around the edge truly make this layout a work of art.
This layout by EllenT is simple yet striking. I love the look of the paper strips behind the photo, and the stitching adds a nice homespun touch. The use of the Thomas Jefferson quote is the perfect match to this page.
Finally, there are a few things that jump out to me on this layout by weaselwatchr. The large star is a nice base for the layout, the blending of the paint and fireworks adds a lot of excitement and depth to the page, and the torn papers break up the white background with nice balance. Also interesting to note: most of the papers used here are patterns. You wouldn’t know it if I didn’t say it, which is the mark of a true master of using pattern.
Keep those patriotic layouts coming, and if you are stateside, enjoy your Fourth of July!
