Welcome to the first Mobile Highlights of the year! I can’t believe it’s already 2017, where did 2016 go? We are knee deep in MOC5 right now, which is leading to TONS of beautiful layouts. It is my first year really trying to complete MOC, so my Instagram account has been seeing a lot of activity lately. If you want to follow me, you can click HERE. Now let’s get on with the Highlights!
So this first layout by lbvancura jumped out at me right away because of all of those delicious paper layers! I love how the colors are nice pops behind the photos!
The movement on this layout by michelepixels is really dynamic. The photos and the journaling work with the elements to draw your eye around the page.
I’m not going to lie: the January 10 Drop Caps Challenge is intimidating to me, but jenn.mccabe handled it with such expertise! The drop caps add to the layout, not distract from it’s clean look.
I picked this layout by lormw because of the amazing “Happy” word art/paper cuts used on the layout. Not only are they super creative, but they really make the layout feel like a true paper layout.
This hybrid layout by katechris05 is from her One Little Word album, and I loved the use of the Just Jaimee kit. The colors balance nicely and it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
Speaking of color, this layout by ellen.h.tucker is exploding with color. I absolutely love the artsy feel of this layout and her use of color just makes it really pop.
Finally, this layout by scrappinglifeandstuff struck me because of it’s use of non-traditional Christmas colors. I love the soft feel of the layout, and the snowflakes on the wood background are really striking and pretty.
Continue sharing your layouts on Instagram with the hashtag #the_lilypad. I love seeing all of the great work people do! Now let’s all hope we can make it through MOC5!!!!
